West African Examinations
Council deploys 28 Cyberoam units to Secure its Network |
|
| |
| |
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC), a
non-profit-making organization, is head-quartered in Accra, Ghana. The Council
has the responsibility to ascertain examinations required in the public interest
in the English-speaking West African countries and to develop syllabuses,
arrange and administer examinations and to award certificates. The WAEC has also
launched new online services aimed at helping thousands of private candidates in
the country register for the examination. In a nut shell the council’s Internet
transactions had grown to the extent that it became its principle business
enabler and the council could not now afford any compromise in matters of
Internet connectivity and security. |
