Allot Communications is pleased to announce the release of two new software versions that are now available for sales and ordering. - Version C7.2.0 for NetEnforcer AC-2500 units
- Version NX7.5.0 for NetXplorer Management Server
About NetEnforcer ver C7.2.0 The most important new feature in version C7.2.0 is support for Port Redirection, which enables the creation of policies to redirect specific application or subscriber traffic to a dedicated physical port in the AC-2540. With Port Redirection, network operators can leverage the NetEnforcer's advanced DPI capability to inspect traffic flows, and then to redirect specific flows to deployed services, which could include: - Parental Control (URL filtering).
- P2P caching/acceleration.
- IPS/IDS such as email scanning or "clean line" services.
- Content inspection and quality analysis services.
With Port Redirection capability, VAS applications receive only the traffic that is relevant to the service, without having to inspect all the traffic on the network. As a result, network operators can deploy revenue generating VAS faster, at a fraction of the cost, and with increased operational efficiency.
Additional Features in C7.2.0
Another important feature in NetEnforcer ver. C7.2.0 is support for ToS Re-marking action in the Policy Table. When a Pipe / VC has a ToS re-marking action, the ToS bits of any packet classified to that Pipe/VC will be remarked with a new ToS defined by the user for that traffic. Full details are published in the NetEnforcer C7.2.0 Release Notes.
About NetXplorer ver NX7.5.0 NX7.5.0 also provides these important new management capabilities: - Management support for Allot Service Gateway–Omega Series
- Management support for the Port Redirection and ToS Re-marking features in NetEnforcer version C7.2.0 for the AC-2540. The NetXplorer GUI now has a new Connection Control Catalog in which users define Port Redirection policies for the traffic of specific applications or subscribers.
- Classification by Country allows NetXplorer to separately monitor and control domestic (same country) traffic and international (other country) network traffic. Only in AC-400/800 devices.
- Import Hosts from text file: Setting up NetXplorer's Host Catalog just got easier by allowing users to add a large number of hosts to a single Host List by importing the data from an external text file. This is in addition to the ability to map a text file to a Host Group.
- Compound Reports: allows users to organize multiple monitoring reports in single PDF file that can be scheduled and automatically emailed, like any report.
Full details are published in the NetXplorer NX7.5.0 Release Notes.
General Availability Both versions are available for sales and ordering, effective immediately. Software and release notes will be available for download from the Allot FTP site on December 30th.
